The Bulgarian youth national team is visiting Gibraltar in a must-win match tonight.

The main stadium in the country, "Victoria", is currently undergoing renovations and so all football matches, regardless of age group, are being played at "Europa Point". Hours after the official training sessions of Gibraltar and Bulgaria yesterday, the play-off in the League of Nations against Latvia was played at the facility. That's why the surface is quite worn out, and there were even voices from the youth camp that this was one of the worst artificial pitches they had ever had to play on.
To make the adaptation easier for the players, Todor Yanchev and his assistants conducted all their training on Bulgarian soil on the artificial pitch at the Boyana National Football Base. But in terms of quality, it significantly surpasses the surface in Gibraltar and cannot fully prepare the "lion cubs" for what awaits them.
