Germany beat Ghana 2-1 in a friendly match in the preparation of the two teams for the World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico in the summer. The match was played at the “Mercedes Benz Arena” in Stuttgart.

The match started with massive home pressure, as in the 4th minute a shot by Nick Voltemade went wide, and 2 minutes later Florian Wirtz hit the left post after executing a direct free kick.

After half an hour of play, Jonathan Ta intercepted the ball in the penalty area, but it flew over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Florian Wirtz sent the ball into the Ghanaian goal, but the goal was disallowed due to offside.

In the added time of the first half, referee Stuart Atwell awarded a penalty for the Bundesliga after a VAR review, which showed that Jonas Agetei had played with his hand in the penalty area.

The penalty was taken by Kai Havertz, who in the third minute of the added time of the first half coolly sent the ball into the lower left corner of the visitors' goal - 1:0 for Germany!

Eight minutes into the second half, Voltemade headed a cross into the penalty area, but the ball hit the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Ghana also hit the post after Jordan Ayew hit the right side post of the goal, guarded by Alexander Nubel.

Seven minutes later, Derrick Keown crossed down the left wing and Isahaku Fatawu, who came from second position, equalized the score - 1:1! The Germans pressed on, and in the 86th minute, Lennart Karl's shot flew past the right post.

Two minutes later, Leroy Sane made a breakthrough from the right wing to the center, and after a combination with Leon Goretzka, Sane headed the ball for Deniz Undav, who scored from close range - 2:1!

By the end of the match, both teams had attacks, but neither of them ended with a goal, and so Julian Nagelsmann's team won their second possession since the March break for the national teams.
