Polish football club Rakuw Częstochowa has sent Levski an offer for the rights of 21-year-old Bulgarian international Marin Petkov, local media Weszlo reports. The offer from the 2023 Polish champions is for under a million euros, although the striker is valued at much more, BTA reported.

"Rakuw is interested in Marin Petkov - an offensive midfielder who, despite his age, already has serious experience in men's football. He made his debut for Levski Sofia in the 2020/2021 season and has since played 169 games for the Bulgarian club, whose junior he is", writes Weszlo.

"Petkov plays most often as a typical 'ten' and on the right wing. He has 16 matches for the Bulgarian national team, and in 2024 he was chosen as the most prosperous footballer in the local championship. What can he give to Raków? Good results. Purely statistically, in his last two seasons his consistency stands out", the Polish media continue.

"It is consistency that is currently the biggest problem in Marek Papsun's team. In the summer, Jesus Dias was brought in from Stan Rzeszow, who, however, only scored one goal and one assist last season. Adriano Amorim's statistics are similar, and Ivy Lopez will miss the start of the European qualifiers. The Spaniard is recovering from knee surgery", Weszlo also writes.

"According to our information, Raków has offered less than one million euros for Petkov. The official offer has already been sent to Levski. Transfermarkt values the player at three million euros," the information concludes.

When asked about the possibility of such a transfer, head coach Julio Velasquez said earlier today: "Marin Petkov is our player, I am satisfied with his way of training. He is fully focused on his game, which also applies to his teammates".

Petkov was a starter in both of Levski's matches against Beer Sheva, and in the second he was even captain in place of the injured Venderson Tsunami.
