US President Donald Trump said today that Israeli hostages held captive by the radical Palestinian group "Hamas" in the Gaza Strip should be released on Monday or Tuesday, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
Trump added that he hopes to attend the ceremony for the official signing of the peace agreement between Israel and "Hamas" in Egypt.
The US President opened a cabinet meeting at the White House to discuss an agreement reached last night, under which the hostages in Gaza should be released.
This is enshrined in the agreed first phase of the ceasefire agreement under the peace plan.
The US President believes that this will lead to "lasting peace".
