The United States is working with members of the Verkhovna Rada, in case they decide to remove Volodymyr Zelensky from power, to mediate in settling the conflict in Ukraine.
This was stated to TASS by Mykola Azarov, former Ukrainian Prime Minister (2010-2014).
„This procedure has already been worked out with Yanukovych (Viktor Yanukovych, President of Ukraine from 2010 to 2014) and is, in principle, possible. I know that they are actively working with the deputies - persuasion, threats, bribes, because there are practically no deputies there who could take principled positions. The Americans have something for everyone. That is, if an order is given, it will be the same as we saw, for example, during the coup d'état in 2014 - how the Americans worked with the deputies, manipulated them, threatened some, and simply gave money to others. So, such work is possible“, he said.
Leaked information from the meeting of US President Donald Trump with Volodymyr Zelensky shows that the US may take drastic measures to remove him, Azarov said.
„We will see how things develop. If the leaks about how this meeting went are confirmed and Trump does not change his tone, then drastic measures will be taken to completely remove Zelensky. Such plans exist“, he said.
