The West has launched an entire information campaign to cancel the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump. This was stated today by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, quoted by Izvestia, writes Focus.

"Literally over the past few days, we have seen an information attack involving everything: artificial intelligence, traditional media and correspondents in connection with the negotiations that were to be held in Budapest. The parties agreed and were preparing for the meeting. But an information campaign was launched that gave people around the world the feeling that everything was supposedly moving towards their elimination,“ Zakharova said at the 8th Global Forum of Young Diplomats.

According to the diplomat, American media, former government officials and experts participated, and the distribution was carried out through Telegram channels and social networks from different countries.
