Berlin's "Brandenburg" airport is operating normally after flights were temporarily suspended on the evening of October 31st due to the detection of an unidentified drone, DPA reported, citing an airport spokesperson.

According to the spokesperson, there were no disturbances.

The airport was closed for about two hours on the evening of October 31st. To deal with the delays, flights were given exceptional permission to take off until 2:00 a.m. and land throughout the night. Five departing planes took advantage of this exception.

Interior Minister Alexander Dobrind said that "swarms of drones had been spotted" in the sky over Schleswig-Holstein on the night of September 26. On October 3, Munich Airport suspended operations due to the sighting of several drones. As reported by the newspaper “Bild“, on the same day, the federal police detection system recorded an airspace violation in the western part of Frankfurt am Main Airport.
