US President Donald Trump called the ceasefire in Gaza “strong“.
“The ceasefire is not fragile, it is strong“, the American leader said in an interview with CBS News.
Trump also said that the radical Palestinian movement Hamas “can be immediately eliminated“ if it does not comply with the terms of the peace agreement.
On October 9, Israel and Hamas, with the mediation of Egypt, Qatar, the United States and Turkey, agreed to implement the first phase of the peace plan presented by Trump. The ceasefire in Gaza came into effect on October 10.
Trump believes that Iran currently does not have a nuclear capability.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that the leadership of the Islamic Republic intends to continue enriching uranium for peaceful purposes and ruled out discussing the future of its missile program.

Donald Trump then announced that Israel and Iran had agreed to a ceasefire. The ceasefire took effect on June 24.
