Greece has signed a 20-year contract with the United States for the supply of liquefied natural gas, BNR reported.
At a conference in Athens, US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright said that Greece is becoming an entry point for American energy trade to Europe.
Liquefied gas will be supplied to Ukraine along the energy route Greece, Bulgaria, Romania and Moldova, experts emphasized in a comment. The starting point will be the terminal on the island of Revitousa along the new vertical corridor.
Bulgaria, in addition to being a transit country, will also receive enough gas, guaranteeing its energy security. The contract will also use the new liquefied gas terminal near Alexandroupolis, of which our country owns 20% of the shares.
We recall that the Sixth Meeting of the Partnership for Transatlantic Energy Cooperation (P-TEC) is taking place in Athens, which is also attended by Bulgarian Energy Minister Zhecho Stankov.
