Panama announced the arrest in Venezuela of the suspect in the bombing of a plane carrying Jews more than 30 years ago, Agence France-Presse reported, quoted by BTA.

The authorities attribute the attack to the Lebanese movement "Hezbollah"

All 21 people on board, most of whom were representatives of the Jewish community in Panama, died in the Central American country when a small passenger plane was blown up on the night of July 19, 1994. Three US citizens were among the victims. This is the deadliest terrorist attack in Panama's history, AFP notes.

Panamanian police announced yesterday the arrest of the suspect in the attack, Ali Zaki Hajj Jalil. A Venezuelan citizen, he was detained on Margarita Island in the Caribbean Sea on November 6. The procedure for his extradition has already been activated.

Израелското разузнаване е установило, че самолетната катастрофа се дължи на атентат, извършен по всяка вероятност от "Хизбула", каза премиерът Бенямин Нетаняху.
