The parliamentary group of the "European Solidarity" party of former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced the launch of a procedure to remove the government.

“We are starting the process of removing the unprofessional and corrupt government. Our goal is state governance, public unity and the trust of our partners“, the group said in its Telegram channel.

The information appeared against the backdrop of a corruption scandal surrounding President Volodymyr Zelensky's aide, Timur Mindych, who is called the “man with the portfolio“ of the country's leader.

Yesterday, the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine launched a large-scale special operation to uncover corruption schemes in the energy sector. On its Telegram channel, the agency published a photo of bags filled with bundles of foreign currency found during the operation; the exact amount has not yet been disclosed.

Member of the Verkhovna Rada Yaroslav Zheleznyak, for his part, announced that the Anti-Corruption Bureau had searched the homes of former Energy Minister German Galushchenko and Energoatom. According to “Ukrainska Pravda“, searches were also carried out at Mindych's home. And according to Zheleznyak, the businessman was hastily deported from Ukraine beforehand.

Later, anti-corruption officers published excerpts from audio recordings in the energy sector corruption case, including conversations between Mindich, Energoatom representative Dmitry Basov, and Galushchenko's advisor Igor Mironyuk.

The agency also found that funds from abuse schemes in the energy sector in Ukraine were collected and legalized through an office in the center of Kiev.
