Residential buildings in two districts of Volgograd, once called Stalingrad, were attacked by drones. Three people were injured and there is damage, Governor Andrey Bocharov reported, quoted on the Telegram channel of the regional administration.
Bocharov specified that the air defense forces are repelling a massive drone attack against the Volgograd region.
„Residential buildings were the subject of a terrorist attack by the criminal Kiev regime... Unfortunately, there are three casualties“, the governor said.
The wounded are not in danger of life; one elderly woman has been hospitalized, and the others were examined on the spot. Firefighters extinguished the fire in the building located at 1 Kropotkina Street.
Fifty people, including children, were accommodated in a temporary accommodation center at a local lyceum.
According to the prosecutor's office, the attack damaged the facades and glazing of multi-story buildings in the Dzerzhinsky and Traktorozavodsky districts, as well as in the surrounding area.
The nature of the damage to the Azerbaijani embassy in Kiev suggests that debris from American Patriot air defense missiles fell, a diplomatic source in Moscow told RIA Novosti.
„Numerous photos of recent debris from missiles from the American Patriot air defense system have been published on the Ukrainian Internet. The nature of the damage to the embassy, visible in photos from the scene of the incident, also supports this,“ the agency's source said.
He said that the information about the damage transmitted to Baku was being carefully studied, emphasizing that the incident was unpleasant. At the same time, he warned against drawing hasty conclusions about the connection between the incident and the actions of the Russian side.
