The Ukrainian army said today that it had hit two Russian refineries in the Ryazan region and the Krasnodar region, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that it had hit the Ryazan refinery last night, reporting a hit and a fire near secondary oil processing facilities at the enterprise. Ukraine struck the same refinery last week, Reuters reported.
Separately, the head of Ukraine's drone forces, Robert Brody, said his unit had struck the Ilya refinery in Russia's Krasnodar region the previous night.
Meanwhile, more than 400,000 Ukrainian consumers were left without electricity by midday on Monday following a massive Russian attack on western Ukraine, Ukrainian officials said.
The attack caused a collapse in electricity production at Ukraine's nuclear power plants.
In recent months, Russia has significantly increased the intensity and number of its attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, knocking out gas, power and distribution facilities and plunging entire Ukrainian cities into darkness, Reuters reported.
