The Kremlin said it has not yet been informed that Ukraine is ready for negotiations on the peace plan proposed by US President Donald Trump, Reuters reported, citing information from the Russian state agency RIA Novosti, BTA reports.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced last night that he had discussed with US Secretary of the Ground Forces Dan Driscoll ways to achieve peace, and assured that the two sides would work on the points of the plan.
Earlier yesterday, Zelensky's office officially announced that it had received from the US a draft plan for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict in Ukraine, which began with Russia's invasion on February 24, 2022.
TASS specifies that the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has announced that Moscow has not been informed about Kiev's readiness for negotiations. According to journalist Alexander Yunashev, Peskov stated: “So far, Moscow has not been informed about Zelensky's agreement to hold negotiations on Trump's peace plan“, TASS quotes.
