Two miners have died in a coal mine tunnel collapse in northwestern Spain, DPA reported, citing local media.
Another person was reported missing in the incident in the Spanish autonomous region of Asturias, but it was later reported that he managed to escape the collapse.
One of the mine's tunnels collapsed about a kilometer and a half from the entrance.
For now, the reasons for the collapse are unknown. Unions said the mine met all safety requirements, RTVE television reported.
This is the second fatal accident in Asturias this year. In March, five workers died in an explosion at a coal mine near Degana.
