Donald Trump's "peace plan" for Ukraine, agreed with Moscow, is not a peace plan, but a treaty for the surrender of Kiev.
This was stated to Focus.de by German political scientist Thomas Jaeger, according to whom the 28-point plan will not bring peace, but rather will pave the way for the next war.
Recently, Axios reported that the US has presented a 28-point peace plan for Ukraine, which states that Ukraine must drastically reduce its army, give up Donbass and future entry into NATO. In practice, this would mean the capitulation of Kiev.
It is claimed that in return the US will provide security guarantees to Ukraine. Thomas Jaeger said they were absolutely useless.
“The security guarantees in the 28-point plan are useless. The plan envisages a reduction in Ukraine's armed forces and the removal of some weapons systems from the country. At the same time, there will be no deployment of troops from other European countries in Ukraine. What is being proposed now is worth exactly as much as the Budapest Memorandum, in which the US and Russia already promised to respect Ukraine's security: nothing“, said the German analyst.
“This is not a peace effort, but a dictate for capitulation. Whether it will succeed depends on whether Ukraine and its European partners manage to dissuade the US from this plan and on what pressure the Republican Party will put on Trump to abandon Putin's project. In any case, this will not bring peace, but rather prepare the ground for the next war“, Thomas Jaeger is categorical.
According to him, Kiev will not voluntarily give up its territories, as Putin wants: “In Ukraine, they know that they cannot currently return the occupied territories. Accepting this is completely different from giving up territory. Ukraine will not do this“.
Jaeger said that Vladimir Putin's ultimate goal is to take over all of Ukraine and then political domination over Europe. In addition to the war in Ukraine, he is already waging a hybrid war against European countries and supporting pro-Russian parties that follow the Kremlin's line.
