Ukrainian anti-corruption agencies have carried out searches in the home of Volodymyr Zelensky's chief of staff, Andriy Ermak, Verkhovna Rada deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced.

“NABU /b.r. National Anti-Corruption Bureau/ and SAP /b.r. Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office/ are carrying out searches in Andriy Ermak's home this morning“, he wrote on Telegram.

The anti-corruption agency specified that it was acting as part of an investigation. According to “Ukrainska Pravda“ searches are being carried out in the government district.

The newspaper earlier reported that Zelensky's inner circle advised him to fire Ermak due to his involvement in the corruption scandal in the energy sector. This idea was supported by many members of the Verkhovna Rada. Instead, Zelensky appointed him to head the negotiating delegation with the United States and other partners of Kiev to resolve the conflict with Russia.
