Moscow police officers detained a man in St. Petersburg on suspicion of a murder committed in 1998, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow reported.
„A 60-year-old man was detained in St. Petersburg. „He is suspected of the murder of a 31-year-old woman in 1998“, the press service reported.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs added that the woman's body, with signs of violent death, was found in January 1999 in an apartment on Leningradskoye Shosse. Approximately 14,000 USD was stolen from the house. It was not possible to immediately identify and detain the perpetrator.
