At least 11 people were killed and 60 others were injured in a head-on collision between two passenger buses in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, NDTV reported.
“Eleven people, including a child, were killed in a road accident in Sivaganga district,“ the state police chief said.
The collision was so severe that the front of one of the vehicles was completely torn off.
Rescue operations are underway at the scene of the incident. An investigation has been launched. This is the second major passenger bus accident in Tamil Nadu in the past week.
