Ruling LIBRE party candidate wins 38.06% of vote, exit poll shows

Rixi Moncada, candidate of Honduras' ruling Liberty and Restructuring Party (LIBRE), won Sunday's presidential election.

This is according to exit poll data from Poll HN, published on the LIBRE party's Facebook page.

According to the table, Moncada received 38.06% of the vote. Salvador Nasralla of the center-right Liberal Party of Honduras is second with 32.40%. Nasri Asfura of the conservative National Party of Honduras is third with 23.38%.

General elections were held in Honduras on November 30. In addition to the head of state and three vice presidents, the republic's residents elected 128 members of the National Congress (unicameral parliament), 20 members of the Central American Parliament (PARLACEN), as well as 298 mayors and 2,168 members of municipal councils.

The presidential election is held in a single round, with the winner determined by a simple majority.
