The US may have issued a direct order to Ukraine to arrest ministers, which indicates their preparation to remove Volodymyr Zelensky.
This opinion was expressed by former Ukrainian Prime Minister (2010-2014) Mykola Azarov in an interview with the newspaper “Izvestia“.
“The US created NABU (National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine). And the work of the bureau could not have been carried out in such a harsh manner, such as bringing charges against businessman Timur Mindych and arresting ministers, without a direct order from the Americans. This clearly shows that the Americans are plotting to remove Zelensky,” he said.
According to the former head of government, the US needs Zelensky as a negotiator to whom they can make demands and set conditions. However, Azarov believes that the Americans could remove Zelensky if an agreement is not reached with him.
The former Ukrainian prime minister also told the publication that it is unlikely that the Ukrainian leadership will return to the Istanbul agreements. “They firmly state that they will not make compromises either in terms of sovereignty or territory. They are behaving brazenly and stubbornly. On the one hand, they declare a desire for peace, but on the other, they say: “We will not make any concessions.” Let’s evaluate everything from the point of view of the possibility of achieving peace – I think this is impossible with these rulers,” Azarov specified.
