Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Russia have the cheapest electricity among the G20 countries, according to data from Eurostat and Rosstat.
The cheapest kilowatt-hour for households was established in Saudi Arabia with a price of $0.05, followed by Turkey with a price of $0.066. Russia ranks third, with an average price of 5.26 rubles, or $0.068.
India and China complete the top five with the cheapest electricity for homes, with prices of $0.073 and $0.075, respectively.
The top ten also includes Argentina ($0.082), Indonesia ($0.09), Mexico ($0.11), Canada ($0.12) and South Korea ($0.13).
However, electricity in the G20 is most expensive in Europe: in Germany, a kilowatt-hour costs $0.40, in Italy $0.37, and in the UK $0.35.
France ($0.259) and Australia ($0.256) are also among the five countries with the most expensive electricity.
