A drunk driver plowed into a crowd at a Christmas event in Guadeloupe (an overseas territory of France in the Atlantic Ocean), killing 10 people and injuring 19, Agence France-Presse reported.
According to the agency, three people, including a 10-year-old boy, are in critical condition after the collision. The driver, who was intoxicated by alcohol and drugs, has been detained.
The incident occurred on December 5 at 7:45 p.m. local time on the main square of Sainte-Anne.
