A fire in Prague has destroyed vintage cars worth an estimated 200 million crowns (about $10 million), according to Vojtech Rothschild, a spokesman for the Prague fire department.
„A major fire broke out on Saturday night at a tire repair shop in the Strasnice district of Prague. The building housed vintage cars. Preliminary damage is estimated at 200 million crowns“, the Idnes news portal quoted a fire department spokesman as saying.
According to the portal, the fire covered an area of 900 square meters. Firefighters managed to control the fire and prevent it from spreading further about an hour after it was extinguished. Experts are investigating the cause of the fire.
