Intercontinental ballistic missiles from the "Yars" missile complex were placed in shaft launchers in various regions of Russia, TASS reports.
This is happening on the eve of the Day of the Strategic Missile Forces (SNF), which is celebrated on December 17. This was announced by the Ministry of Defense.
The missile is installed using a special transport-loading unit. Technological operations last several hours, the military department specified.
"Yars" or RS-24 is a strategic complex, the basis of which is a solid-fuel intercontinental ballistic missile. It is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 11 thousand kilometers.
The Ministry of Defense added that the rearmament of the Strategic Missile Forces includes not only the delivery of new missile systems, but also the creation of modern infrastructure.
