A downed drone hit a car driven by a woman traveling with her three children in Odessa region. The mother died from severe injuries, and the children were hospitalized with injuries and in a state of stress, the chairman of the Odessa regional military administration Oleg Kiper announced on his Telegram channel, BTA reports.
According to him, the car was hit while it was driving on a bridge in Odessa region. Kiper expressed condolences to the family of the deceased. The tragedy occurred near the village of Mayaki, according to local channels on “Telegram“.
The regional governor called on drivers to refrain from traveling in the direction of the Dniester Estuary near Mayaki, noting that “the Russians are attacking this section for the third time“.
According to local authorities, today's attack in the Odessa region lasted more than eight hours - air raid sirens were activated at 09:38 and were turned off at 17:10.
The Bulgarian community in the Odessa region numbers over 150,000 people and is the third largest according to the latest official census in Ukraine. About 50-60 thousand Bulgarians live in the city of Odessa itself, with the largest compact population in the Bolgrad, Izmail and Belgorod-Dniester regions.
