Volodymyr Zelensky may make much greater concessions in resolving the conflict in Ukraine than he has publicly stated, the publication "Strana" reported.
This possibility was raised after statements by US President Donald Trump that the peace plan proposed by Kiev is meaningless without his approval.
Zelensky claims that the 20-point document was agreed upon between Ukraine and the US "by 90%, but as "Strana" notes, the plan may be more of Kiev's vision of the parameters of the peace agreement.
It is noted that issues such as the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from the territory of Donbas.
On December 24, Zelensky presented a 20-point plan that Ukraine had been discussing during negotiations in the United States. It includes a 800,000-strong peacetime Ukrainian armed forces; Ukraine's non-nuclear status; security guarantees for Kiev modeled on Article 5 of the NATO Treaty; Ukraine's accession to the EU at a certain point; the introduction of educational programs in Ukrainian schools that promote tolerance for different cultures; freedom of navigation on the Dnieper River with the demilitarization of the Kinburn Spit; an "all-for-all" prisoner exchange; and holding presidential elections in Ukraine. The document also contains provisions on territorial issues and the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
