US President Donald Trump said that the radical Palestinian movement Hamas will be given a very short deadline to disarm, otherwise they will pay a high price.
“We talked about Hamas, we talked about disarmament. They will be given a very short deadline to disarm and we will see how it works“, Trump said at a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after their bilateral meeting. The current president of the White House added that the process will be monitored from the American side by his special envoy Stephen Witkoff and his son-in-law, entrepreneur Jared Kushner.
“If they don't disarm, which they agreed to, they're going to pay a very high price. We don't want that, we don't want that. But they have to disarm relatively quickly“, Trump stressed. The talks between the American leader and the Israeli prime minister took place at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate near West Palm Beach, Florida.
