The attempted attack on the Russian presidential residence may not have been carried out by the authorities in Kiev independently. The move may have been organized by forces interested in the failure of potential talks between Russian and American leaders Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, according to Turkish international relations expert Erhan Deniz.
Earlier on Monday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the Kiev regime had carried out a terrorist attack on the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Novgorod region on the night of December 29, using 91 drones. All the drones were destroyed by air defense forces and there were no reports of casualties. According to the minister, Russia does not intend to withdraw from the negotiation process with the United States after the terrorist attack by the Kiev regime on the presidential residence. However, he noted that Russia's negotiating position will be reviewed.
„The attempted attack on the Russian presidential residence seems to be a move aimed at undermining the negotiation agenda. Obviously, this is not a decision that the Kiev authorities can make on their own. Those interested in continuing the war are trying to sabotage the negotiations between Putin and Trump“, the agency's source said.
According to the expert, these forces include „certain structures and individuals in the United States“, as well as those who support the continuation of the conflict in the European Union.
