At least one woman was killed this afternoon in a Russian cruise missile attack on the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, regional governor Oleg Sinegubov said on Telegram, as quoted by DPA.
Sinegubov added that 11 more people were injured in the attack, during which three cruise missiles hit houses in a residential area.
In such attacks, Russian military aircraft remain in Russian airspace while the cruise missiles hit targets dozens of kilometers away.
Kharkov is located just 30 km from the Russian border and has been constantly targeted by airstrikes since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
