Viktor Orban: For another 100 years, there will be no parliament in Hungary that would vote on Ukrainians joining the EU - 1

Budapest will not support Ukraine's accession to the European Union in the next century. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban made this yet another sharp statement during the Davos forum on Ukraine's accession to the European Union (EU). This was reported by Telex, quoted by Focus.

"I think that in the next 100 years, there will be no parliament in Hungary that would vote on Ukrainians joining the European Union“, Orban is categorical.

In addition to blocking membership, the prime minister accused the Ukrainian authorities of trying to destabilize his government. According to Orban, Kiev is interested in replacing Hungary's political leadership with a more loyal one.

"We do not want them to join the EU... We must recognize that Ukrainians will be active participants in the Hungarian election campaign, because it is in their main interest to change the government in Hungary. I am not happy with this and we will fight against it“, Orban added.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, criticized European leaders, who, in his opinion, act in the interests of Russia, hinted at Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's ties with Putin.

The Hungarian prime minister responded that he and the Ukrainian leader "will not reach an agreement“, because Orban is a "free" man, while Zelensky is in a “impasse“.
