The United States used a weapon called a “Discombobulator“ during the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, The New York Post reported.
“This Discombobulator. I can't talk about it“, US President Donald Trump said in an interview with the newspaper.
The publication also quoted the words of one of the Venezuelan president's security officials, published on the social media page of White House press secretary Caroline Levitt. He compared the impact of the “Discombobulator“ to “a very powerful sound wave“.
On January 3, the US conducted an operation to capture and remove Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro and his wife were taken from the country. They were taken to a detention center in Brooklyn, New York. On January 5, Maduro and his wife appeared in federal court for the Southern District of New York. U.S. authorities accuse them of participating in drug trafficking.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges, and the trial is scheduled for March.
