The document on US security guarantees for Ukraine is fully ready and Kiev expects the time and place for its signing to be determined, President Volodymyr Zelensky said today, quoted by Reuters.
„For us, security guarantees are, first of all, security guarantees from the United States. The document is 100% ready and we are waiting for our partners to confirm the date and place where we will sign it," Zelensky said at a press conference in Vilnius during his visit to the Lithuanian capital.
“The document will then be sent for ratification by the US Congress and the Ukrainian parliament,“ he added.
Russia is avoiding making a commitment to a lasting and just peace in Ukraine and does not accept a ceasefire in the war, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda said after his meeting with the Ukrainian president.
