Jihadis from the group „Islamic State in West Africa“ have killed several dozen people, including soldiers, in the Nigerian state of Borno, Agence France-Presse reported, citing local and medical sources.
Twenty bodies, including those of five soldiers and 15 workers and hunters, were taken to the hospital in Biu, 45 kilometers from Sabon Gari, where the attack took place. According to local officials, the number of victims is much higher.
The attack came two days after jihadists from the same organization killed nine Nigerian soldiers and kidnapped about 10 people in the area of the town of Damasak in Borno state near the border with Niger.
