Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said that there is a high risk of conflict in the Baltic Sea region due to the growing demonization of Russia, writes Gazeta, quoted by Focus.
"The risks are very high. This is a laboratory for how aggressive policies artificially turn the most peaceful region in the world into an arena of military confrontation“, the diplomat noted.
On January 28, it became clear that 14 European countries are closing the Baltic Sea to ships from the Russian "shadow fleet". From now on, tankers with dubious registration status or without the relevant documents will be equated with ships without a flag. Accordingly, the countries will have reasons to keep them.
