Orban warns of Brussels' "green light" if "Tisa" wins elections - 1

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on “Facebook“ that if the opposition party “Tisa“ comes to power, “all Brussels' plans will get the green light“, the national news agency MTI reported, quoted by BTA.

Orban pointed out that “Tisa“ is under serious pressure. He added that during the European People's Party meeting in Zagreb, leaders discussed removing the veto power of member states and turning the European Union into a military alliance.

“They openly admit that our government is obstructing these plans by protecting national interests. That is why they are counting on “Tisa“: if he wins, all the initiatives of Brussels will be approved“, Orban said.

The prime minister described the situation as “a huge challenge“ and added that the pressure on the Hungarian government was “incredible“. Orban warned that if necessary, the opposition could use paid provocateurs at meetings of the ruling Fidesz party and even resort to violence against those who speak the truth about “Tisa“'s actions.

In conclusion, he called on voters not to allow “Tisa“ to win the April elections. “Let us say “no“ to the war in Ukraine and “no“ to “Tisa“s provocations at home. "Hungary is an island of peace - let it remain so," the prime minister added.
