A power outage has left a large part of the southwestern German city of Stuttgart without electricity, the police announced, quoted by DPA, BTA reported.
According to law enforcement, some of the traffic lights have stopped working, which necessitated the dispatch of patrols to regulate traffic. A police spokesman said that the reasons for the power outage are not yet known.
Internet services in many offices were temporarily interrupted. The electricity grid operators have not yet provided details on the case.
Stuttgart, which has a population of about 600,000, is the capital of the state of Baden-Württemberg and an important headquarters for government institutions and large companies.
