The Russian city of Belgorod was attacked twice within a little over 30 minutes, Mayor Valentin Demidov reported on his Telegram channel.
“The enemy launched another missile strike on Belgorod. Our air defense system was activated“, Demidov wrote.
According to him, no reports of casualties or damage to residential buildings were received after the attack at 8:02 p.m. local time. However, infrastructure facilities were damaged.
The second strike on Belgorod was carried out at 8:38 p.m. “All emergency services are working in an enhanced mode. The damage is being assessed,” the mayor added.
Russia’s Bryansk region was attacked with “Neptune” missiles and HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems.
The strike cut off heat and electricity supplies in seven municipalities, Governor Alexander Bogomaz said on his Telegram channel.
Two civilians were injured in the Vygonichsky district. The injured men have been hospitalized.
In addition, private homes, an administrative building and a church were damaged.
