Vladimir Putin: Ukraine wants to torpedo peace process - 1

Russian President Vladimir Putin accused Ukraine on today's fourth anniversary of the invasion of Moscow's forces in the neighboring country of trying to torpedo the peace negotiation process, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

According to him, Kiev, with the help of Western intelligence services, is also doing this by attacking pipelines from the Russian energy network. In statements broadcast on television, he pointed out that it is vital to strengthen the protection of Russia's energy infrastructure and strategic sites.

Putin drew attention to a possible threat to a number of Russian fuel pipelines at a meeting with officials of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), TASS reported. According to him, the target is the gas pipelines along the bottom of the Black Sea - "Turkish Stream" and "Blue Stream", the Russian state agency reported.

The head of state pointed out that terrorist attacks against Russia have increased. He called for greater protection of confidential information related to the army and the military industry.

"The FSB has made the most important, significant contribution to ensuring sovereignty, to protecting the safety of our citizens. Over the past 2025, in all key areas, you and your colleagues have worthily solved the tasks set," he said, quoted by TASS.

Russia's opponents are doing everything to thwart the progress made by Russia in the negotiation process, Putin emphasized. According to him, Ukraine and its allies are so determined to defeat Russia that their efforts are reaching their limit - "something they will regret".
