Two hundred and one people were killed and 747 were injured in today's attacks by the US and Israel against 24 provinces of Iran, the Red Crescent reported, quoted by AFP, Reuters and BTA.
The strikes were carried out in 24 of the 31 provinces in Iran, the organization emphasized in a communiqué published by the ISNA agency. These are the first official figures for the country's death toll.
Previously, 85 people were reported dead in an attack on a school in Iran.
According to the Pentagon, US targets in Iran included command posts of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, air defense systems and military airports.
A total of 44 ballistic missiles and eight drones were fired at Qatar throughout the day, the Asharq television channel reported.
On Saturday, the US and Israel launched a military operation against Iran. Major Iranian cities, including Tehran, were hit. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps then announced a large-scale retaliatory operation. Iran reportedly fired missiles and drones. According to the Tasnim news agency, US military bases in Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE and Saudi Arabia were also hit.
