Dubai International Airport (DBX) and Al Maktoum International Airport have partially resumed operations, according to a statement published in X.
Earlier on Saturday morning, an air defense system was activated in the skies above Dubai Airport.
According to flightradar24 data, at 8:00 a.m. Bulgarian time, dozens of planes were circling near Dubai to transport some of the tourists stranded in the emirate and were moving in a circle at a sufficiently large distance from the skies above Dubai. Some of them landed temporarily at the nearest safe airport, also near the emirate. Most of the planes were Emirates Airbus A 380s, coming from New York, Zurich, London, Birmingham, Moscow and Frankfurt.
