Iran is ready for at least six months of intense war, opponents interpreted the president's words - 1

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it is capable of enduring “at least six months of intense war” against the US and Israel, reported Agence France-Presse.

The IRGC statement said that since last Saturday - February 28, when Tehran's forces began retaliatory strikes after the start of the joint Israeli-American operation, more than 200 American and Israeli targets in the region have already been hit.

“Iran's armed forces are capable of withstanding at least six months of intense war at the current pace of operations“, said the spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Ali Mohammad Naini, quoted by the Iranian Fars news agency.

Iran's President Massoud Pezeshkian said that his statements yesterday about the Iranian attacks were “misinterpreted by the enemy, which is trying to sow discord between neighbors“, the country's state television reported this morning, quoted by Reuters.

The agency notes that Pezeshkian made this statement after Iran's apology for attacks on countries in the region yesterday was perceived as a decision to stop attacks on Gulf countries, while at the same time these attacks continued.

“It has been said many times that we are brothers and should have good relations with our neighbors. However, we are forced to respond to attacks, but this does not mean that we have a dispute with a (neighboring) country or want to upset its people“, the Iranian president stressed.

The Israeli Air Force announced that it had struck Iran's military infrastructure in another series of attacks overnight, DPA reported.

Israeli fighter jets bombed “fuel depots“ for the first time in the Iranian capital Tehran, the military announced late last night on "Telegram". Video footage shared on social media shows a huge fireball and clouds of black smoke rising over the city.

"The military forces of the Iranian terrorist regime directly and frequently use these fuel tanks to power their military infrastructure," the Israeli military said.

Iranian state TV IRIB reported that the elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had confirmed that an oil refinery had been bombed.
