Building collapses after fire at Glasgow train station - 1

A major fire at the central railway station in Scotland's largest city Glasgow has caused the partial collapse of a building, Reuters reported, citing the BBC.

Dozens of trains from the station have been cancelled and the station will remain closed until further notice, the British railway association “National Rail“ announced (National
Rail).

There were no reports of injuries in the fire.

The fire started in a vaping store near the station on Saturday afternoon.

Parts of a meteorite damaged roofs and houses in western Germany this evening, DPA reported.

Police said they had received reports of damage in the city of Koblenz and surrounding areas at around 7pm local time (8pm GMT).

“Around 7pm this evening a burning celestial body hit the roof of a residential building in the Güls district of Koblenz. No one was injured,“ a police spokesman said.

Police units were sent to the scene due to concern and confusion among the public caused by mysterious lights. Photos of the phenomenon were posted on social media from the states of North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland and Baden-Württemberg.

According to police in Kaiserslautern, witnesses reported a “brightly lit object with a brief flash of fire“ or “a fireball in the sky“.

Some suggested it was a missile. However, police said “there was no evidence of a security incident“.
