The Wall Street Journal: Trump Advised to Seek a Way Out of War to Maintain Public Support - 1

Advisors to US President Donald Trump are advising him in private conversations to seek a way out of the war against Iran to maintain public support, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources.

According to them, the American leader is surprised that Tehran refuses to surrender. The president's inner circle believes that it is necessary to develop a plan for exiting the military conflict and present it as a consequence of achieving the stated goals of the US military.

The low level of public support for the operation against Iran may decrease even more if it turns into a protracted conflict, the publication notes. “When gas and oil prices rise, everything else rises. "Since the availability of goods and services was already a problem, the new price increase will lead to serious problems," Trump's non-staff economic adviser, Stephen Moore, told the newspaper.

On Monday, the US president told reporters that he believed the operation against Iran would end soon.

Meanwhile, one person was killed and several others were injured in an Iranian attack on Bahrain.

According to the country's interior ministry, an Iranian missile hit a residential building.

The exact number of casualties has not yet been reported.
