Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a conversation with his Iranian counterpart Massoud Pezeshkian, expressed hope that the election of Mojtaba Khamenei as Iran's supreme leader will contribute to peace in the region.
Iran is ready to join Turkey in establishing a commission to investigate the alleged missile launches towards Turkish territory, Pezeshkian declared.
Erdogan stressed to his colleague the need to open the door to diplomacy to resolve the Iranian crisis and his country's efforts in this direction.
