Iranian Police Chief: Anyone Who Takes to the Streets Will Be Treated as an Enemy - 1

Iranian Police Chief Ahmadreza Radan has expressed concerns that anti-government demonstrations could resume, and warned that anyone participating in such events will be treated as an "enemy", Reuters reported.

"Anyone who takes to the streets at the suggestion of the enemy will be treated not as a protester, but as an enemy," Radan said on state television. "All our security forces have their finger on the trigger."

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the Iranian public through an article in Exx, in which he promised to increase pressure on the authorities in Tehran, DPA reported.

In his message, the Israeli leader indicated that the United States and Israel would act "with even greater force against the Tehran tyrants", and added that Israel would create the necessary conditions for the people to be able to take "their destiny into their own hands".

"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to remove the ayatollahs' regime and free yourselves," Netanyahu said. "The ayatollahs and their people are fleeing – but these cowards have nowhere to hide."

Israel and the United States are waging a "historic war of liberation", he said, urging Iranians to be ready and seize the opportunity when the time comes.

Israel has repeatedly stated that changing the political order in Tehran is one of its goals and has called on the people to rise up and overthrow their government.
