Donald Trump: I'm not afraid of Iranian attacks on US soil - 1

US President Donald Trump said today that he is not afraid of attacks organized by Iran on US soil, after the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) warned that Iranian drones could hit the West Coast of the US, ABC television reported, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

The United States and Israel began carrying out strikes against Iran nearly two weeks ago, plunging the Persian Gulf region into war. Tehran has retaliated to the US-Israeli strikes that killed senior Iranian officials, including Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

When asked by reporters today whether he feared Iran might step up its retaliation, including on American soil, Trump said: "No, I don't."

Later, ABC reported that the FBI had warned California police departments that Iran might retaliate for the US attacks by sending drones against the West Coast.

“We have recently received information that, as of early February 2026, Iran allegedly intended to launch a surprise drone attack from an unidentified ship off the coast of the United States, specifically against unspecified targets in California, in the event that the US strikes Iran,“ he warned FBI in late February, according to ABC. “We have no further information on the timing, means, targets or perpetrators of this alleged attack“, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation added.

The Israeli army is prepared to continue the war with Iran for as long as necessary, its spokeswoman Brigadier General Effie Defrin told reporters today, Reuters reported.

"As an army, we are prepared to continue the campaign for as long as necessary," the Israeli army spokesman stressed.

US President Donald Trump previously told "Axios" that the war with Iran would end soon, as "there is virtually nothing left" to defeat.
