Iranian strike sets fire to military base housing Australian troops in UAE - 1

An Iranian missile has set fire to an air base in the United Arab Emirates that houses Australian air force personnel, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said.

He said the strike hit the road leading to the base. “I can confirm that no Australian personnel were injured and everyone is safe at this time. A small fire caused by the strike caused minor damage to the housing complex and the medical facility at the base, Albanese said.

Saudi Arabia's air defense systems have intercepted an Iranian ballistic missile and six drones in the past two hours, the kingdom's Defense Ministry said.

At least 12 U.S.-made MQ-9 Reaper drones have been destroyed since the start of the U.S.-Israeli operation against Iran, ABC reported, citing Washington administration officials.

Iran has informed the IAEA of the strike on the Bushehr nuclear power plant, the agency said.

Iraqi air defense systems failed to intercept the drone that attacked the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, according to the Shafaq News portal.

Several explosions occurred in the prestigious Elahiye and Zafaraniyeh neighborhoods in northern Tehran, Al-Hadath TV reported.
