China does not currently plan to invade Taiwan in 2027, according to an annual report on global threats by US intelligence released today, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"China, despite its threat to use force to impose unification if necessary and to counter what it sees as US attempts to use Taiwan to hinder Beijing's rise, prefers to achieve unification without the use of force, if possible," the report said.
