In an interview with the German newspaper „Berliner Zeitung“, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić expressed the opinion that World War III will be difficult to prevent, as it has probably already started.
„Maybe it has already started - we just don't talk about it officially yet“, he said.
According to the Serbian leader, the struggle for oil, gas, rare metals and minerals has been going on for a long time. Vučić noted that the First and Second World Wars initially began as regional conflicts.
„Only later were large military and political alliances built, which eventually clashed directly“, the president added.
Previously, Vučić stated that major global conflicts are just beginning and could ultimately lead to the worst consequences in human history. He also believes that nuclear weapons will be used in future conflicts.
Vučić also promised that Belgrade would maintain its military neutrality, which has brought the country “a lot of good things”.
